Caranx: fish icon of many fishing travels that lead fishing enthusiasts to explore every corner of the planet.
There are hundreds of different species “chased” by fisherman that sail the seas of the world, from the smallest to the reef giants like the Giant Trevally (Caranx ignobilis) or our amberjacks (Seriola dumerili), but perhaps it is in the indo-pacific ocean where we find the most interesting fish.
They also have beautiful names: for example, this one is the Gold Spotted Trevally (Carangoides fulvoguttatus), a species that does not like to attack floating lures but is seduced by plastic baits worked near the bottom or even streamers, in this case, mounted on a weighted line.
Even outside the flats, in the tropics, you can have nice fly fishing journeys, you just need will to work hard.
